Thank you for your interest in the Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning®, where you will find a warm welcome with other 55+ engaged learners!
This spring, we are offering more than 40 courses, hands-on offerings, and day trips on history, the arts, contemporary issues, religion, technology, and wellness (see specific course offerings below).
Most courses take place on the Landis Homes campus in Lititz and are open to anyone in the wider Lancaster community. We hope you can join us!
Sneak Peek into Spring 2025
- Prepare and taste the culinary delights of Latin American cuisine with Landis Homes chefs during this hands-on cooking class
- Be inspired by life-history interviews with significant Lancaster-area community leaders
- Follow your inner artist to create and embellish leather bookmarks
- Visit underground railroad sites from the Susquehanna River to Lancaster City as you learn about the roots of this resistance
- Practice American Sign Language as you learn about Deaf culture
- Thrill with women inventors or World War II historical secrets
- Discover the stories of those who came before, and learn to pass them on to your descendants
- Test your scent selection with a class on fragrances
- Visit Amish schools to see children at their lessons, followed by dinner in an Amish home
- Find solace in the company of others through a caregiver’s journey
- Test your knowledge with a free, baby-boomer trivia class
- Immerse yourself in Civil War history through a class on the power of Gettysburg with an award-winning presenter and author
- Discover the history of railroading and of the Negro Baseball Leagues

Meet instructors and other lifelong learners, enjoy music and refreshments, and pick up our Spring Catalog (which will also be available online).
This is a come-and-go, drop in event, and no RSVP is needed.
Spring 2025 Registration
Registration for the Spring 2025 Term opens on Wednesday, February 12, at 9:00 am for those registering as members, and on Wednesday, February 19, at 9:00 am for those choosing non-member registration.
